KTOA Members,
The Kentucky Tactical Officers Association is awarding five (5) scholarships in the maximum amount of $500.00 each to law enforcement officers, their survivors, and/or immediate family members who demonstrate a financial need during the 2023-24 school year. The maximum award limit is $500.00 per year, except if the award recipient is a family member of an officer who was killed in the line of duty, in which case the amount will be $1,000.00. Students do not have to be majoring in law enforcement or criminal justice to be eligible for a scholarship. Scholarship applications must be submitted by 1700 hours on Friday, September 1st, 2023 to the President of the KTOA. The KTOA Scholarship Committee will review the applications for financial education assistance based upon the criteria established by the KTOA Board of Directors. The scholarship committee of the Kentucky Tactical Officers Association will be solely responsible and has broad discretion for determining eligibility, grant award amounts, and disbursement of funds. The decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final. The candidates will be notified if they have been selected to receive a scholarship after approval of the Executive Board. The scholarships will be awarded at the KTOA Annual Conference banquet scheduled September 20th in Lexington, Kentucky. Please contact KTOA President Michael Dietz with any questions.
